Description

<p>The Well of Zamzam is located to the south of Maqam Ibrahim (The Standing Place of Abraham (PBUH)). It is adjacent to the Black Stone, 18m away. Historic narratives mention that Abraham's valley had no water, plants, or trees. When our father Abraham, his wife Hajar, and their son, Ismail (PBUH), migrated to Mecca, then upon his return to Palestine, Hajar (PBUH) began to look for water between Al-Safa and Al-Marwa (two mountains adjacent to Ka'ba), until Gabriel (PBUH) drilled the site of the well with his feet, and water flushed. Abraham's valley became alive, and tribes began to gather around this water. Also, historic narratives indicate that Abraham (PBUH) was the first to drill the Well of Zamzam. The original site of the well disappeared.
