Ohod battle (Ghazwat Ohod)

The Battle of Ohod is a battle between the Muslims and the Quraysh tribe on the seventh Saturday of the month of Shawwal in the third year of migration. The army of Muslims led by the Messenger of Islam Muhammad, and the tribe of Quraish was led by Abu Sufyan bin Harb. The invasion of one is the second major battle fought by Muslims, where it got one year after the Battle of Badr. The invasion was called the name of the mountain near the city of Medina, which took place in one of the southern slopes of the invasion. The main reason for the invasion was the desire of Quraish to retaliate against the Muslims after they were defeated in the Battle of Badr, and in order to regain its place among the Arab tribes that were damaged after the Battle of Badr, and gathered all its allies to attack Muslims in Medina. The number of fighters from the Quraysh and its allies about three thousand, while the number of Muslim fighters about one thousand, and withdrew from them about three hundred, becoming the number of seven hundred fighters. Seventy Muslims were killed in the invasion, while twenty-two of the Quraysh and its allies were killed.
